We are now seeking to employ a Finance & Accounting Officer within our George Town Head Office to assist with the accounting functions of our Operations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB FUNCTIONS:
The primary role of this post is to provide administrative support to a small and dynamic team of professionals.
The post holder reports to the Head, Finance & Accounting for the activities providing clerical and financial functions and ensuring all payables and payroll are processed timely and accurately in accordance with internal control procedures. The officer will also provide timely response to all vendor/client related queries, internal personnel and audit requests within the finance section.
The job functions include but are not limited to;
- Perform essential AP duties; Perform all AP related duties in various currencies
- Manage payment schedules (including wires; foreign and local)
- Assist in the preparation of Payroll
- Process invoices, expense and credit card claim forms;
- Review assigned accounts and reconcile to statement and related transactions;
- Reconcile GL accounts;
- Analyse invoices/contracts and record entries timely and accurately;
- Prepare related journals;
- Assist with external/internal audits;
- Maintain filing of accounts documentation under role responsibility; and
- Perform any other duties as requested from time to time by the Director, Operations; CEO or Designate
Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor or tertiary degree and three (3) years of progressive relevant experience; and
- As an alternative to formal qualifications, seven (7) years’ experience in a similar capacity; and
- A professional accounting qualification is beneficial but not required.
Knowledge and Skills
- Sound language, analytical, presentation and IT skills;
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence;
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and lead an effective and cohesive business development team;
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and detail-oriented skills within established procedures; and
- An ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Salary Range: CI$44,600 - CI$64,800
