MACI Promotes Nine

GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman - The Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI), parent organisation of the historic Cayman Islands Shipping Registry (CISR), announces the promotion of nine of its key personnel at headquarters here.They are:

Mrs. Nancylee Bodden, from Assistant to the CEO, to Manager, Business Development & Client Relationships;

Ms. Krista Dixon, from Senior Client Service Officer, to Maritime Officer, Survey Administration & Information;

Miss Shawanna Hera, from Maritime Officer, Crew Compliance, to Management Trainee (undertaking training, circulating in various sections of MACI);

Mr. Collin McRae, from Senior Maritime Officer, Crew Compliance to Coordinator, Technical Compliance;

Mr. David Mitchell, from Client Service Officer, Crew Compliance to Senior Client Service Officer, Technical Compliance.

Mr. Ken Sun, from Maritime Officer, Crew Compliance to Senior Maritime Officer, Technical Compliance;

Mrs. Exie Tomlinson-Panton, Manager, Business Development to Head, Business Development & Client Relationships;

And Mrs. Lorna Washington, from Deputy Registrar of Shipping to Registrar of Shipping.

Also, at the CISR European Head Office, located in Southampton, U.K., Mr. Phillip Noad has been promoted from Lead Surveyor to Senior Surveyor, and Mr. Richard Blake has been promoted from Surveyor to Lead Surveyor.

Additionally, MACI believes in doing as much as possible to encourage the educational advancement of its employees, according to the organisation's Head - Human Resources & Administration, Mrs. Glenda Dilbert-Davis. In addition to offering scholarships in maritime industry studies, MACI also does everything it can to assist staff members in furthering their educational opportunities, from assisting financially to allowing time off for study leave.

As a result of these initiatives, a number of individuals have been recognised for educational accomplishments. They are:

Miss Shawanna Hera, who completed her Bachelor of Science in Management from UCCI last year;

Katrina Pona, Senior Client Service Officer, Crew Compliance, who received her Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from UCCI;

David Mitchell, who earned an Associate of Arts degree in Social Studies, last year, from UCCI, and,

Jenna-Dell Humphrey-Terry, Coordinator, Administration Services, who received her Certificate in Management Practice last year, also from UCCI.
