The Cayman Registry, a division of Cayman Maritime, was established in 1903 and today the Register covers the full spectrum of vessel types, including commercial ships and private pleasure yachts. The Registry maintains headquarters in the Cayman Islands and an European Regional Office in Southampton, UK, with global representation in the USA, Italy, France, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
The Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI) is currently seeking applications of interest from suitably qualifies companies/individuals to undertake the monthly internal audits of the Client Services Team, in line with processes and MACI's Corporate Targets; and the management of the MACI Corporate Targets.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- the internal quality and compliance reviews of: Endorsements and Seaman Discharge Books; Registration and Mortgage Transactions; and Statutory Documentation.
- The management, production, maintenance and reporting of the MACI Corporate Targets.
A thorough knowledge of the STCW Convention, together with a proven track records in a similar administrative role within a reputable Maritime Administration is essential for this post.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE
The post holder should possess an Associate Degree (or equivalent qualifications), with a minimum 2 years post graduate experience, preferably in the maritime industry.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Sound language, analytical, presentation and IT skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals/checklists;
- Project management skills;
- Organisational, prioritisation and detail-oriented skills within established procedures.
