Monaco Yacht Show

Representatives of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry (CISR), a division of the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI), will travel to Monaco later this month (24 – 27 Sept.) to attend the prestigious annual Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The CISR is the number-one leader in the registration of mega-yachts and the MYS will feature numerous examples of the world’s most luxurious and spectacular private yachts, many of which will be flying the Cayman maritime flag.

Sharing booth space with the CISR team will be representatives of the Cayman Islands Civil Aviation Authority, in an initiative to attract aircraft registrations. Cayman is a popular Register of choice for aircraft as well as marine vessels.

MACI's CEO, Mr. A. Joel Walton, will head the delegation, which will include Mrs. Nancylee Bodden, Manager, Business Development & Client Relationships, both from George Town Headquarters. They will be joined in Monaco by personnel from other CISR locations, including, from the European Regional Office in Southampton, U.K., Mr. Greg Evans, Divisional Director, Safety Survey & Inspection; Mr. Peter Simpson, Senior Surveyor, Yachts; Mr. Phil Noad, Lead Surveyor, U.K., and Mr. Richie Blake, Surveyor, U.K. Joining them from London will be Mr. Brian Lodge, Asst. Registrar of Shipping. And in Monaco they will team up with Ms. Irene Gut, who manages CISR’s Cannes (France) office.

Following on the success of last year’s event, a "Mojitos at the Booth" party will be hosted, in conjunction with co-hosts, the law firms of Appleby and Campbells, on Thursday (25th Sept.) from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Existing and prospective clients and other industry partners have been invited.

The CISR, in order to best serve its worldwide client base, has been undergoing significant global expansion over the last several years, and now has offices/representatives in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; the European Regional Office in Southampton, and a representative in London,. This year saw the opening of the Mediterranean office in Cannes, and there is CISR representation in Athens, Greece. Additionally, there are three CISR Asian representatives, located in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore.
