A presentation of flags was made to the Cayman Islands Seafarers’ Association at their meeting hall recently. The flags will be flown at their building, 11 Victory Ave., in Prospect. The CEO of the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI), Mr. A. Joel Walton, third from right, presents Cayman’s "Red Ensign" maritime flag to Mr. John Douglas, second from right, President of the Cayman Islands Seafarers’ Association (CISA). Also pictured are (from left) Meloney Syms of the C.I. Government Protocol Office, who presented the Cayman flag (for land use), Mr. Andrew Eden, CISA Secretary, Mr. Hartmann DaCosta, CISA Council Member and (right), Mr. Gurney Panton, CISA Treasurer. The Seafarers have a flag of their own which will proudly fly with the other two, the blue "land" flag, and the red maritime flag.
