GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman – Getting into the spirit of the Holiday Season, the staff of the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI) pooled some of their resources for the benefit of the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Staff contributions were matched by MACI, parent organisation of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry.
A cheque in the amount of CI$600 was presented to the NCVO’s Mrs. Alta Bodden-Solomon by Ms. Krista Dixon, Chairperson of MACI’s Social Committee.
In receiving the cheque, Mrs. Bodden-Solomon, NCVO Youth & Community Worker and PA to the CEO, said, “Thank you for helping make this holiday season an enjoyable and memorable one for the children through your donation.”
The funds will be used for the remainder of gifts needed for Christmas, general educational classroom toys and the Christmas Party for Miss Nadine’s Preschool and the Jack and Jill Nursery.
